Installation steps

Clean the substrate and apply primer
Thoroughly clean the prepared substrate of dirt and dust. Apply a primer suitable for the surface and let it dry for the time recommended by the manufacturer.

Mark a guide line
Use a string to mark a guide line on the substrate.

Choose a suitable adhesive
Choose an acrylic-based adhesive suited to the substrate and conditions of use. We recommend PHOMI adhesive; other acrylic-based adhesives can also be used.

Bond the PHOMI products
Apply the adhesive in a thick layer to 80% of the material surface and remove the excess with a notched trowel. For sizes of 560×280 mm and larger, also apply adhesive to the substrate. Leave the required joint gap, press and level thoroughly with the special tool, and touch the materials by hand as little as possible.

Fill the joints
Fill the joint gaps with joint filler and compact it with a jointing trowel. Remove the excess filler with a spatula once it is semi-dry. If the product gets dirty, use a dry sponge or spatula.

Corner installation
Cut the product at a 45° angle with an angle grinder or a small saw. Apply adhesive to the inner surface and the cut corner; install both sides of the corner at the same time. If necessary, fill the gap with joint filler in a matching color.

Refine the joint appearance
Mix the small particles you get by rubbing two PHOMI pieces together with joint filler in a matching color, and fill the joints with this mixture.
